We all know our time is precious; we all seem to wish we had more time, mostly because we feel there just isn't enough time in the day to get things done.
My observation is most people misuse the time they do have, have you ever noticed how some people produce great results in very little time or perceived effort? Why do you think that is?
There are many books written on time management and most of them seem to be speaking to sub average performers to raise the bar to average. Well, you and I are not average. Let’s say we are in the top 20% of performers and want to move to the top 5%.
This brings me to the 80/20 rule, most people have heard of it but for some reason they don’t apply it to their business approach.
I personally apply the 80/20 rule to the 80/20 rule, applying my efforts on what becomes the top 4%.
Generally speaking, people feel anxiety over time management which is caused by lack of control, organization, preparation and action. You need to be ruthless with your time, as it’s your most precious asset.
Don’t get caught up completing busy work and confuse it with achievement, many people feel they had a productive day but don’t really accomplish anything of any significance towards their ultimate purpose. Also, don’t let the time wasters waste your time.
When you apply this strategy, you will be thrilled with the new free time you will have.
So give this some deep thought and consideration, and revolutionize the way you spend your time, you will be amazed at the results!
